SDG Adoption

Goals 3 Ensuring healthy lives and promoting well-being at all ages is essential to sustainable development. We has created a safe workplace and promoting health living amongst our employee including PPE, training, yearly programmes and events. Implementation of ISO 45001:2018 Occupational Health & Safety Management System to assure compliance of rules and regulations. We provided safe working environment to all workers and monitored their health including foreign workers. For example, blood test programme, audiometric test and fire drill training were done annually by EHS Team.
Goals 4 Providing quality education for all is fundamental to creating a peaceful and prosperous world. We focus on skills development and on-job training for employees to create a better working environment. We also offer opportunity for employees who intend to improve themselves with the continuous learning and development program.
Goals 5 Adopt and strengthen sound policies and enforceable legislation for the promotion of gender equality and the empowerment of all women and girls at all levels. We had implement the human right policy such as non-discrimination policy, sexual harassment policy and misconduct policy to ensure the equality of all genders.
Goals 6 Improve water quality by reducing pollution, eliminating dumping and minimizing release of hazardous chemicals and material, halving the proportions of untreated wastewater and substantially increasing recycling and safe reuse globally HSB has implemented ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management System certification and will keep upgrading the system to comply with rules and regulations by government. HSB also has minimize the potential of releasing pollution water where effluent from wastewater treatment plant were recovered and reuse for production usage.
Goals 9 Build resilient infrastructure, promote inclusive and sustainable industrialization and foster innovation. Using our technologies and comprehensive infrastructure contributed a better quality life for our customer by collecting and recovered schedule waste from rubber company and produced reclaimed rubber in order to minimize rubber waste in Malaysia.
Goals 12 Substantially reduce waste generation through prevention, reduction, recycling and reuse We established efficient electricity consumption and water conservation practice. HSB also controlled paper monthly consumption. We also adhere to proper management and disposal of scheduled waste based on DOE requirement. We monitored ratio electricity and water consumption over productivity monthly.
Goals 13 Improve education, awareness-raising and human and institutional capacity on climate change mitigation, adaptation, impact reduction and early warning We have provided a training program to the staff and customers to ensure our business complies with rules and regulations of environmental management. HSB planning in calculating the GHG emission through electricity consumption and moving forward, we intend to take steps to reduce our GHG emission.

We place ethics and integrity at the centre of our business operations and have policies in place towards embedding such values throughout our organisation.
